SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Many detainees locked up at Guantanamo were innocent men swept up by U.S. forces unable to distinguish enemies from noncombatants, a former Bush administration official said Thursday. "There are still innocent people there," Lawrence B.

Regarding Tongue Sandwiches
Dr Zook and Zom Zom - Great exchange on 12/5/08 regarding the tongue sandwiches. You guys both have a great sense of humor and potential for a stand-up comedy routine. Your comments provided a respite from what was becoming a completely silly set of arguments over and equally pointless topic. Once I finished reading your diversion I realized how pointless the entire matter was and read no further. Thanks for the extra time you added to my day.
Great to see we can laugh regardless of our religious beliefs or political leanings. Thanks for proving it. It makes the issue itself seem far less significant and almost silly.
My mother served tongue when I was growing up and I ate it without thinking about it. Once I was gone from home for an extended time (college and draft) it never really appealed to me anymore. Ladies licking ice cream cones really get me excited. Do you think it's related? Thanks again. Leo Katz

"There is no god but Allah and Muhammed was his prophet! Allah-u-akbar!!!" -Dr Zook
This was your reply, DZ. If you don't really believe in it why use it to support your arguments. Isn't that being disingenuous? Do you mock Muslims for believing the Q'uran? Do you mock Hindus for believing the Bhagavad Gita and Buddhists for the belief in the Tibetan Book of the Dead? No only Christians receives the brunt of your calumny.
Isn't it funny that you don't instantly believe those things other than writings connected with Christianity?
Again, you brought up Islam as a diversion. A member of one faith is not required to "instantly" believe the tenets of another faith. I do however respect all people of all faiths enough not to insult them or refer to their beliefs perjoratively."If your particular beliefs are the grand truth of the universe, then your big bad God will punish us evil atheists for not believing in Him without a shred of evidence for His existence.
"Big bad God"? Would you also refer to Allah as a big bad God when speaking with Muslims? Or is it an integral part of your exclusive hatred for Christianity? To answer your question; the Creation, this grand universe is abundant evidence that the Creator exists. If anyone refuses to acknowledge Him, that is their right. You can totally choose to live a god--less life, denying God and His Son Jesus as long as you are alive. But, no choice is without consequences. Here the ramification are dire. Because after death they cannot be changed
"You don't have to lift a finger or say a word for that to happen because by your philosophy God controls everything and has the matter in hand."
It is not God's will that any should perish. If that is what He had wanted, all He would have to do is not to send Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Then we would all be damned for all eternity.
When The Lord Jesus arose from the dead, He commanded all his followers to preach the Gospel of Salvation through faith to everyone. Everyone, who does that leave out? Whoever believes will be saved and whoever doesn't will be damned. (Mark 16:16) These are Jesus' own words. So every christian has a duty before God to live and share his faith. Because again, God doesn't want you DZ in hell tormented for all eternity.
Here's a parting gift for you. If anyone attempts to share their Christian faith with you, you don't want to hear it, you also have the right to respectfully and politely tell them you know about Jesus Christ, and you choose not to be a Christian, and you would prefer if they keep their faith to themselves. After such a declaration, a Christian is no longer then bound by duty to continue and will immediately leave you alone.
